Roberto López Moreno
Roberto López Moreno (Huixtla, Chiapas, 1942, America) has a degree in Journalism. He is poet, narrator, novelist and essayist. He won the Chiapas Award 2001, in the category of Arts.
He is the creator of the literary proposals called: Poemuralism, Laconism, Alburemas, Treceadas, and some others. He has participated in literary meetings on four continents and is the author of more than forty books.
Among his most recent titles are: El libro VI. La construcción de la Rosa, National Polytechnic Institute; Décimas Lezámicas, National Autonomous University of México; Négridas, Lirio editions, and the third edition of La morada del colibrí. Poemurales, Malpaís editorial.
In 2009 he was nominated for the National Arts Award by the National Polytechnic Institute’s Directorate of Publications. Some of his work has been published in both print and electronic versions, and some of his texts have been translated into French, Russian, Macedonian, Chinese, Nahuatl, Latin and English.
He is founder of the Erick Satie Foundation, of which he serves as president and sole member. Golden Age Award, Havana, Cuba, for the book Versitlán (poetry for childhood) illustrated by Leticia Ocharán.
