Evie Ivy
Evie Ivy has been the originator of several poetry readings, and host for many years of the long-running Green Pavilion Poetry Event in the borough of Brooklyn. Their third poetry anthology, Leisure . . . Dinner with the Muse, Vol. III, is already out. She has also helped edit at least seven anthologies and five poetry journals throughout the years.
She has published three poetry books: The First Woman Who Danced, Living in 12-Tone and other poetic forms, and No, No Nonets . . . the Book of Nonets (Ra Rays Press), which has become her personal favorite. Her chapbooks include King of Fear (meta4 Press), Characters: I Like Myself the Way I Am (Something More Press), and Cinquain, My Dear Cinquain, selected cinquains (Grey Book Press.)
Her work has appeared in websites such as First Literary Review-East, the Brooklyn Borough’s President Website (Poetic Brooklynites), the electronic magazine Levure Littéraire, the Newspaper Tree El Paso, the journal Verse Wrights and others. Her work is also included in over a dozen anthologies, and has been read on radio and Cable TV.
Evie Ivy also enjoys artwork, and has illustrated poems in many poetry journals. Besides dance, writing and art, her favorite subjects are archaeology and astronomy.
